I am a web designer and graphic designer, but I have not produced code in a very long time so I need to hire someone to code my personal portfolio website. I was going to buy a template monster template and just change all the graphics, but i read bad reviews about the quality of their code.

I was going to use MotoCMS.com but I also read bad reviews about that, and I don’t want my website counting on one company’s server.

I have all my graphics sized according to the template. I would need you to create a website similar to the template, but using my graphics. I would like you to use JQuery instead of flash since flash is not supported on the iphone. But if you have a better suggestion, I’d rather follow your ideas because you are the programming/coding pro.

I do not want all of the animation features in the template because it is over the top and annoying. Here is a link to the template so you can see the features I’m looking for:

-I do not want my logo animated

-I want the links on the left to have rollovers, but not the annoying animation.

-I like the full screen mode feature

-I do not want music

ABOUT page

-the about page is great, text with a scrollbar so I can add more content when needed

-I want the text lighter though, so you can actually see it

-I do not want the animated title transition, I just want the page and the content on it to appear.

EXHIBITIONS page

-this link will go away, however is it possible to have an animated drop down like this for other links?

LANDSCAPES, CARS, PEOPLE, CITIES pages

-these pages will be replaced with: graphic design, web design, product design and illustration.

-I love the way the portfolio works, the cursor changes to an arrow while on the photo so you know you can click and the next image will slide in.

-I like the arrow on the bottom that brings up the “drawer” of thumbnails.

-do you think the row of thumbnails should always be visible at the bottom instead of it collapsing when you move the cursor to the main image? I can’t decide which would be better

-this is a feature that would be nice to have in phase 2 of my website. Could I get a separate estimate for this? When a new photo slides in, I would like to have text at the bottom so I can enter a brief description of each design piece. Is that possible? The text would have to be different for each photo of course, because each photo will be a different project.

CONTACT

-I like the small envelope button on the bottom for contact, but I also want a link on the left side called “contact” so it’s more obvious.

-I would like a simple contact form

-I do not want a map because I work out of my home.

-I would like a link to my email, however, are there ways to have my email address show without the web crawlers grabbing it so people can spam me? I know that was an issue in the past, but I don’t know if that’s still a problem. forgive my lack of proper terminology.
